I have shadowed and for the most part, I get the vibe that anesthesiologists are more OR managers (managing multiple ORs or looking over the shoulders of a CRNA). Is this always the case? I feel as though if I did do anesthesiology I would be unhappy not "doing" more stuff. What are your thoughts and experiences with the profession? If you only have to work about 7 hours a day, that wouold be fine. I'm not sure how well a medical degree from Spain will serve you in the United States, but I do know that it only costs a couple thousand Euros per year. My mother did not have any loans either, because 35 years ago medical school in her state cost less than $1000 per year and my father's job made enough to cover that. These situations don't apply to us anymore except at one of the few cheap state schools. To hanlinting:
