Last Updated on June 26, 2022 by Laura Turner

Why attend a pre-med recruitment fair? Pre-med recruitment fairs are great opportunities to learn about applying to medical school, admissions requirements, and resources all in one place! You’ll be able to engage with medical school admissions officers and representatives in person to learn about specific opportunities at their schools. You will find a variety of medical schools, programs, and associations, like the AAMC (Association of American Medical Colleges), that have a wealth of resources to support you on your path to medical school.
Here are a few quick tips to consider when attending a pre-med fair:
1. Create a list of the medical schools and organizations attending the fair that you would like to visit
2. Be prepared with specific questions for the institutions on your list
3. During your visit, be sure to gather helpful resources that are available at the tables
4. Ask for the representative’s business card in case you have any follow-up questions
Here is a complete pre-medical checklist to help you make the most of a pre-med recruitment fair or event!
