Question

I am a 4th year at UC Berkeley, and will graduate in the Spring.

Stats: Economics/Biology double major
GPA: 3.14 overall, 2.8 science
DATs: did not take yet
Shadowing hours: ~50 hours so far and will continue until May 2012
Volunteering: ~50 hours so far
Extracurriculars: Many (a lot of them are not dental related)
Working: ~10 hours a week since freshmen year

I am also signing up for my last set of classes tomorrow and I need advice on what courses I should take. I already took all the basic prereqs that most dental schools require, in addition to anatomy, biochemistry, physiology (with lab), psychology, sociology, and economics, which are the recommended courses of some schools.

I am also thinking about what I should do in my year(s) off before dental school. Considering my low GPA, what are my options? I was thinking of doing research, but I am unsure about how relevant that will be.
