1 out of 5 stars Stopped working   February 11, 2009

As a few other reviewers have noted, I too encountered the problem where one of the buds (in my case, the left) stopped working after only a couple months of use (even though it would sometimes come on intermittently, if the cord was moved correctly, I don't think it should be considered "working" when you can't stick your iPod in your pocket while you're walking aroung and expect it to work consistently). The unfortunate thing is that the sound is actually pretty decent. I suppose you get what you pay for, though. The nine dollar price doesn't really inspire confidence in their contruction. File this one under "too good to be true."

2 out of 5 stars hmm dangerous for ears?   February 9, 2009

I have these headphones. But I am concerned they will damage my hearing because, they stick inside your ears. I try not to turn the volume way up. I hardly use these. I do however like the noise cancellation while at work on break. I don't hear the radio going, or people blabbing. But I am very concerned about my hearing. Buy these only if you aren't concerned for your hearing. So far I haven't damaged my ears. I'm just too concerned with these, and looking for another pair.

Never have had a set of ear phones that worked as well as the j buds. no problems, and the outside sound filtering is great!

5 out of 5 stars GOODBYE AND GOOD RIDDANCE, BOSE!   February 5, 2009

I have just received this product and trashed a nearly-new Ear Bud set from Bose (at ca. USD100.) This product (at USD13.) has considerably better performance and infinitely greater comfort than its Bose counterpart. I am absolutely pleased and amazed. (N.B. A few hours of "burning in" may be required in order to reach the full audio potential, however)

2 out of 5 stars Please Read!   February 3, 2009

I bought this item and LOVED IT immediately. There were no problems and it was better than I expected, but after using it moderately for 3 months (on average 2 times a week), it went bad. I mean out of nowhere, for no apparent reason, it just went out in one ear. If I twirled the cord right I might get some sound. My recommendation is to not buy it. I'm sure you can find something better, or instead, you can find some headphones just like these that go out in 3 months for have the price.
