I just received a letter of rejection from UCLA, but I also received access to their online secondary the same day. So do they want me or not? Anyone else have this problem?

Wow, now that's weird. You should call them to make sure it was not a mistake, either in you getting a secondary or getting a rejection. If the latter was true, it would be good news :)
Hmm, I guess UCLA is doing another batch of decisions again.

haha...now go to the website and find out...if their is a link to do the secondary...then go ahead and fill it out..if there ain't...then sorry man...

also see which letter is personally addressed to you....that could be an indicaiton

Wow, that's pretty tough... Thanks to your post, I went to check my status, to find that they finally want me to submit secondary

same here. thanks for the tips.

just to let you know, here's something a current med student wrote to me... of course, she was applying a few yrs ago. i'm not sure if this applies now and/or to ucla.

One thing to keep in mind at this stage of the game...by Feb/Mar, at most
schools you'll be interviewing for wait list spots. I went to several
interviews in Feb/Mar when I was applying only to find out later that all
of their admission spots were already filled by that time. I think it
would have affected my decision to go to those interviews if I had known.
But I guess it makes sense, I just didn't really think about it at the
time. Medical school is rolling admissions, so the earlier your interview,
the better your chances. By Feb/Mar, all the spots are probably filled,
and they are trying to fill their wait list spots so that come May 15, when
the applicants who are holding multiple spots finally decided where to go,
they will have people to fill those extra spots that open up. Anyway, I
just thought I'd let you know since this was something I didn't know while
I was applying."
