What do you like most?
-
Location in southern Utah is bound to yield unique experiences and student body demonstrates true sense of community
-
Facilities are great when you can use them. Prepare you well for boards but .... see below.
-
Tons of outdoor activities
What do you like least?
-
Does not seem to be developed for biomedical research that requires a wetlab
-
3rd and 4th-year clinical rotations are trash. The school needs to triple its investment in this area. Literally can't find rotations in Peds and OB/GYN. Students stuck traveling hours away to get stuck with a 3rd FM. The school needs to suck it up and start a clinic or work with local hospitals and start residency programs. Until then go somewhere else, I wish I would have.
-
Small town, School year starts earlier and ends very late.
What are the facilities and clinics like (old/new, well maintained, etc.)?
-
New and well maintained, just can't use at the moment.
How do students from this program do after graduation - are they adequately prepared for practice?
-
I'd say no as well have to do a residency.
What are rotations like?
-
Split into regions, in which you will have to fight over Peds and OB rotations. Likely will travel far and wide to get surgery. Honestly, they aren't great. The school severely lacks in this department. I thought it would get better but now wishing like hell I would have taken a different acceptance.
How do students from this program do in the Match?
-
Pretty decent, about average.
