What do you think is one of the biggest challenges with EMR physicians face? What do you think the younger, tech-savvy generation will do to change this?
Read interview feedback, reviewed UCI website, etc. (READ THESE QUESTIONS: some students got asked a lot of the same questions by their student interviewers).
What impressed you positively?
Friendliness of staff and students!
What impressed you negatively?
Separate medical center = 30 min commute and slight disconect between MS1-2s and MS3-4s. :(
What did you wish you had known ahead of time?
How low-key the interview was. Seriously. I read all the feedback here and didn't believe it – but it was true. This is a real low-stress day.
What are your general comments?
UCI is a very solid institution!
The 1-on-1 interviews were as expected, but this year they started adding in an 8-min station called the "structured interview." It was actually really fun and tried to evaluate how well you could communicate with others. Non-stressful questions. :)
What are your suggestions for the admissions office?
Phenomenal job! They did a good job of organizing all 40+ applicants, even on the first day of interviews. I have no complaints.
