Practice questions, introspection, talk to lots of med students and doctors about the profession and medicine in general.
What impressed you positively?
The students and the beautiful Brodie Centre (with gym and library all in one convenient location!).
What impressed you negatively?
The area of town is a bit shadey, but Winnipeg has a really vibrant arts scene I was not previously aware of.
What did you wish you had known ahead of time?
To calm down and not worry so much - it's called Friendly Manitoba for a reason!
What are your general comments?
All in all, my interview was very positive. I was so impressed with the friendly students, their passion for the programme and school, and the facilities. The interview itself was very comfortable, and they challenged me without making me feel like I was under siege!
