💬 Interview Questions

What is one of the specific questions they asked you?

There were no specific questions...a mock PBL session was used.

What was the most interesting question?

There was not a formal interview at USC. It was a mock-Problem-Based Learning Session. It was interesting to see how this approach works...it is not for everyone, but it left me with a very positive imporession.

What impressed you positively?

I was really impressed with the PBL methodology. The facilities are top-notch, and the staff was incredibly friendly. Perhaps the most important thing was when I spoke to a group of students who were not the cheerleaders for the program, but average students going through the program, and they appaered to be genuinely happy.

What impressed you negatively?

The cost...USC is the most expensive dental school in the nation, a fact that the financial aid office seemed to be proud of.

What did you wish you had known ahead of time?

Taxis are difficult to get at USC, it is best to arrange for one at the school.

What are your general comments?

I had a very positive experience at USC. It is different in that it is a PBL method, and is not the perfect choice for everyone. However, the overall experience was very nice.
