How did you prepare for the interview?
Hung out in LA for the weekend.
What was the most difficult question?
If you like science so much, why don't you want to go into research?
What impressed you positively?
the campus was pretty (there are bunnies on the lawns at night!), weather was beautiful
What impressed you negatively?
most students could not give a good reason for why they chose UCI other than that they wanted to live by the beach or that it was the only California school they got into, location is too suburban for me, Orange is not near to the Irvine campus, one interviewer gave me a really hard time for not wanting to go into research--Irvine didn't seem very enthusiastic about clinical medicine in general
What did you wish you had known ahead of time?
That I would be so disappointed with my day at UC Irvine...I wouldn't have come.
