It was a very pleasant experience complete with a tour and a lunch. I got to talk to some students and the day was over.

What kinds of things did you do in your previous career?(I had a jobe before applying)
How did you prepare for the interview?
read on the school's website and read some information about treating patients with special needs
What was the most difficult question?
nothing really difficult--my interviewer was more interested in answering more of my questions.
What impressed you positively?
the clinic areas were all new with computer terminals. the students were very happy to be there and did still have active social lives.
What impressed you negatively?
This is hardly a fair comparison but some dental schools have gone pass/fail--stony brook has not done this and they still have regular grading
What did you wish you had known ahead of time?
I was travelling from NYC and the directions to get there were not as clear as they should have been. Be sure to ask for explicit directions.
