What are your general comments?
I love the school and the people, but don't like that I would probably have to commute close to 15-20 minutes to get to class every day... and I don't know how much Birmingham has to offer.

Besides the location (because it's close to home), why UABSO as opposed to another school?
How did you prepare for the interview?

What impressed you positively?
I seriously was blown away by the clinic, staff, and faculty. I just felt like everyone really, really liked me personally. There are 2 interviews... one that is one-on-one with Dr. Simon -- who by the way is awesome -- (open file), and one that is in a group usually with a student and 2 professors or optometrists or researchers (closed file). And while both interviews are still addressing significant questions, the atmosphere is incredibly relaxed & comfortable.
What impressed you negatively?
I really don't like the location of the school. I also don't like how nobody lives on campus... mainly because there are no on campus graduate living centers. These are both making me reconsider the school.
What did you wish you had known ahead of time?
Nothing comes to mind.

I wish we had a longer period of time to decide whether or not we want to attend the school. We're given about 1 month, but it flys by when you're trying to consider EVERYTHING.
