I had a couple of mock interviews at school and they gave me a really good idea of what to expect.
What impressed you positively?
The school was very laid back and every equal opertunity. The clinical rotations are chosen on a lottery system so that everyone has a fair chance.
What impressed you negatively?
The way some other students had dressed/ prepared. Jeans and hoodies in my opinion show a lack of respect for the interviewers.
What did you wish you had known ahead of time?
That the school was only 25 minutes from downtown portland and that most students go to the city 3+ times a week.
What are your general comments?
My interview was actually in Canada at the University of Alberta, which was great because it saved me the cost of flying to Oregon. The presentation was excellent and answered almost all of my questions and the interview was very laid back. I felt every comfortable and welcomed by the school.
