What are your general comments?

"I was really nervous prior to the interview since MCPHS is the largest pharmacy school in the world and have students from over 30 countries, I assumed that they would be very picky . However the faculty was really frienly and put me at ease. So just try to be yourself and you'll be fine." More from this Member | Report Response

"I arrived at the school about a half hour early. I signed in at the front desk, and I talked with some of the other applicants. We were greeted by two professors. They took us in to a classroom and showed us a powerpoint presentation about the school, the program, rotations, residencies, and the city of boston. The presentation was very organized. Next, we were asked to do a short writing sample about an article that was provided. After this we split up into individual interviews with a faculty member. The interview itself was stress free. The faculty memeber that I interviewed with was down to earth. She reviewed my application ahead of time and had several questions ready for me. If you had something interesting written in your personal statement, be prepared to answer questions about that. This is also to your advantage because it gives you a lot to talk about. After the interview, there was a tour of the school. As you will see, everything is brand new. Computers and classoroom technology is state-of-the art. Finally, the day ended with questions. Overall, my experience at the school was wonderful. The faculty members were friendly, the school is impressive, and the location is ideal. The school is located near several hospitals which is great for clinical experience. The city of Boston has so much to offer. " More from this Member | Report Response

"The interview was pretty easy-going. I arrived 25 minutes early and they put me on a campus tour with two of the 3rd year students. Then they took me to a professor's office to have my interview and it took about 40 minutes. At the end I have to write an essay but it was simple." More from this Member | Report Response

"the overall time i was in the school for the interview was 2 hours. it was a very friendly and positive atmosphere. there was a brief essay (30 min), one-on-one interview (30 min) and a tour (1 hour). This school is NOT for everyone. The students on this campus (worcester) are older (avg. 27-30) and there is not room to make mistakes with grades. a mistake in one class will set you back a FULL YEAR. since the school is so small, all of the students have the same schedule, and it is a year round program, so anything you have to retake will be with the next year's students. There is not a ton of stuff to do in the immediate area, so if this is important to you, keep looking. Personally, I LOVED this school. It suits me perfectly. The area is something I can deal with for two+ years of my life. The staff is very friendly, and they all have personal relationships with all of the students. This school is very accommodating to out of state students during the rotations. They allow two 5 week rotations to be done in your home town (state) if you desire. There seems to be a very good group of students and faculty working together as a well-oiled machine. Good choice for older, mature, serious students wishing to complete their PharmD in an accelerated program (2yrs, 9 months)." More from this Member | Report Response

"At MCP Boston, the day is structed. There is a specific amount of time for the interview (30 min.) and you can't go longer. Also, there was a writing portion. There was an article given and you had to comment on the article. Even though the writing time is 45 min, they only want you to write on 1 sheet of paper ( both sides) which is not bad. " More from this Member | Report Response

"Because it was Spring Break, the school was practically empty. I was interviewed by a Dr. Kerner (non Pharm D. - the biochem prof) and he was extremely helpful in answering every question. Unlike those in the past, he explained that there was no laptop requirement and the details to which the school was heading towards (from quarter system to semester system while maintaining the 3 year accellerated). I wish I could have spoken to some students, but I understand it was Spring Break. Overall, it was honestly the easiest interview I have been to. It literally only lasted a little over an hour (+ 1/2 hour for the essay which doesn't affect the interview - it's for future reference after you're accepted). G'luck all!" More from this Member | Report Response

"it was great but nothing that blew me away. there was no food service in the building (i.e. a snack shop type place). i was interviewed by the assistant dean who was a very nice, cool person. they make you write something which is something that you do at most interviews. what's the point of it?? we already wrote essays when we applied. they have some sort of virtual lecture where a camera links lectures from the manchester campus to the worcester campus." More from this Member | Report Response

"The overall experince went well. It was much more laid back than I had thought, the interviewer was nice (faculty member), but she didn't seem to know all the ins and outs of admissions (i.e. symbols on my transcripts, what type of PC I would need, etc)" More from this Member | Report Response

"This was a wonderful interview. The school is extremely welcoming and the people are phenomenol! Just relax and be yourself!" More from this Member | Report Response

"Overall it was wonderful. I interviewed on a thursday and by monday i received my acceptance letter. THe admissions staff was very nice and polite" More from this Member | Report Response

"really not stressful, just making sure i'm a normal person before accepting me i think" More from this Member | Report Response
