"NYU, for the most part, is a dump. Facilities are terrible. Administration seems a bit harsh. Med student dorm is worse than living in the gutter. The disparate nature of student groups -- there are just way too many." Report Response

"How dilapited NYU is...I wouldn't have bothered interviewing there." Report Response

What are your general comments?

"Most people know NYU for its name. After interviewing, I think NYU is very over-rated. Columbia, Cornell, and Mt. Sinai are all so much better than NYU. It was quite telling when a student leading our tour mentioned "here is our dorm...here is our gym...here is our anatomy lab" and the interviewees just looked at each other with a dumbfounded look saying, "No way, this can't be NYU." But it is. You will see for yourself when you interview there. I don't know how anyone would choose this school over any other school in NYC or for that matter, anywhere in the US." Report Response
