"I had taken the MCAT two years before I had taken the DAT, but I didn't decide to pursue a MD career (for various reasons, like I talked to some MDs and they told me to get out while I still could). So the interviewers asked my what was the deal with that. I just told them the real reasons for wanting to take the MCAT and then why I wanted to take the DAT. I was honest about my reasons and the interviewers seemed to like my responses. " Report Response | I was asked this question too

"The technology at UT Memphis is incredible. The simulators really impressed me. They admissions faculty also stressed the student oriented nature of the school, describing an atmosphere were dental students are encouraged and helped." Report Response

"Nothing had a negative impression when I toured UT Memphis. I can out of there completely sold on their school." Report Response

What did you wish you had known ahead of time?

"The interview at UT Memphis is really directed toward the interviewee getting to see their campus and facilities. I was as if they were trying to sell their school to me and not me trying to sell myself to them. So I was really nervous before hand becasue I was so worried about trying to put up a good front, when all I had to be worried about in the end was to enjoy what the interview process had to offer."
