How did you prepare for the interview?

What impressed you positively?

"Outstanding reputation, superb facilities, great location, unbelievable campus, resources galore, tons of outreach programs, nicely mixed curriculum (PBL, lecture, standard patient, and computer based)... well established medical school that is headed to even bigger and better things (building new campus hospital, seems receptive to making changes based on student desires). The dean (man with moustache) was amazing, what a guy. Knowing that he was in charge of the program is reassuring. P.S. The Miami Dolphins practice on campus, very cool. " Report Response

What impressed you negatively?

"One of my interviewers never looked up at me (I think he was playing the "bad cop" role). Also, South Florida living is not cheap." Report Response

What did you wish you had known ahead of time?

"Traffic is bad, really bad... and there is a toll on the turnpike (have dollars ready!)." Report Response

What are your general comments?

"The interview went well. There were three interviewers, two of which were very friendly and informative. The third guy was either playing the "bad cop" role or really did not want to be there. They seriously went through my file and asked me about everything, including my personal statement. I enjoyed the interview, I was not "grilled", everything asked was thought provoking and very relevant. " Report Response
