What impressed you positively?

"Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful. The students I talked to didn't emphasize the in-state tuition as their reason for choosing Stony Brook. It definitely seemed like a place I could be happy spending the next 4 years, especially since the beach is only 10 minutes away (ok its a long island beach, but it's still a beach)." Report Response

What impressed you negatively?

"The fact that most of the students live off-campus. Although one person I talked to has a jacuzzi in his apartment and he pays the same amount as you would for on-campus housing, so I figure it may not be such a bad thing." Report Response

What did you wish you had known ahead of time?

"How low stress the interview would be." Report Response

What are your general comments?

"Overall I had a great experience at Stony Brook. My interviewer was very friendly and didn't ask anything particularly challenging or unexpected. It was very relaxed and conversational. All the students were friendly and out going, they seemed like people I would be friends with. The tour was good in that we got to choose where we wanted to go and what we wanted to see which I think made it much more interesting." Report Response
