What impressed you negatively?

"The student taking us on our tour was complaining about the program the entire time, which did not give me much confidence in the program. An MD/ MPH degree is offered at no additional cost but the med students said how the MPH degree was a waste of time and they were not learning anything. The entire day was very disorganized and they made no efforts to make it more comfortable for the interviewees. The campus was also very huge and spread out, I did not feel a sense unity for the medical school. Some of the classes also are taken with the pharmacy students so Anatomy for example has 400+ students in it. So overall, the attitude of the admissions people/interviews/med students was very negative and their program was extremely substandard when compared to other medical schools" Report Response

What did you wish you had known ahead of time?

"That the school has a substandard program and that the people at Nova have such bad attitudes. I would not have wasted my time going there if I had known this. Nova was at the top of my list before the interview but definitely was crossed off the list completely after my visit. If I were you, I would seriously reconsider wasting your time and money to come to an interview at Nova. " Report Response

What are your general comments?

"The intervieweers had extremely bad attitudes, it was three of them interviewing me at the same time in a bad cop, bad cop, bad cop fashion. And I know that it has to be Nova not me because I had 7 interviews at other schools all with better reputations than Nova and they all went very well. One has even accepted me already. All of the questions they asked me were personal attacks of my transcripts. They made no efforts to get to know me as an applicant. The interview was pretty much everyones worst nightmare. I take the way they treated me as an indication of how they treat their students. And sure enough, all of the students I encountered looked beaten down and insecure. " Report Response
