What impressed you positively?

"The students and doctors all seemed very happy to be there and proud to be members of the Mayo Clinic. My interviewers were both friendly and were very familiar with my file. The small class size (42) really lets you get to know your classmates and professors. The curriculum has the most flexibility due to selectives to let students tailor their education to their interests.The Mayo Clinic is really one of the best healthcare facilities in the world, and students get to work with some of the finest physicians. What impressed you negatively?

"Rochester (125,000 people) would take some getting used to for someone coming from a big city." Report Response

What did you wish you had known ahead of time?

"Rochester is only an hour and a half shuttle ride from Minneapolis, which is a more affordable plane ticket. Ask students about where to visit during your free time during the interview day." Report Response

What are your general comments?

"This interview was a great experience with very friendly and professional admissions staff. I stayed with students and they helped me get a better idea about how I would fit in at Mayo. Mayo admissions seem to place a great amount of emphasis on community service and philanthropy, so having some of these experiences would definitely go far for an applicant." Report Response
