What is one of the specific questions they asked you (question 1)?

"I couldn't imagine how an interview could be less stressful. Both interviewers were genuinely interested in what I had to say and made me feel completely relaxed as soon as I stepped into their offices. I wasn't even asked why medicine or why washu (a question I was dreading to answer since washu is pretty traditional). We really just talked about interesting things that would pop up in the conversation, or things they found interesting from my file (they really read it carefully beforehand). However they did ask me in depth questions about my research. Overall the best interview experience I have had so far." Report Response | I was asked this question too

What was the most interesting question?

"Why are you proud of yourself? How would you change the washu curriculum (this popped up only because we were talking about the subject)" Report Response | I was asked this question too

What was the most difficult question?

"If you were to develop a specific research project what would it be? (again it was very conversational and I comfortably told him that I had not thought about this yet since diff med schools offer different opportunities)" Report Response | I was asked this question too

How did you prepare for the interview?

"Website, SDN (waste of time, didnt really have to prepare)" Report Response

What impressed you positively?

"How they treated us during the whole interview experience (great food!!) also the ppl that were interviewing were really really nice. I was under the impression that washu was going to have a competitive environment but the students seemed amazing! I had dinner, breakfast, and lunch with students and they all seemed so nice and interesting. I was afraid of the grading during the second year but found out that the grades are not curved, so it does not foster completion, but does give you something to show for while applying to residency besides the boards. The Childrens Hospital is the most amazing thing I have seen!" Report Response

What impressed you negatively?

"lack of diversity, lack of non-traditional students, main hospital isn't that nice, midwest" Report Response

What are your general comments?

"Washu really exceeded my expectations. It is a great school, with great students, a great rep and renowned faculty." Report Response
