"Tell me about soccer (I had talked about my love for soccer in my application)." Report Response | I was asked this question too

What was the most difficult question?

"I wasn't asked any difficult questions, but the fact that they didn't ask some expected questions (why pharmacy? why UCSD?) was a bit concerning." Report Response | I was asked this question too

How did you prepare for the interview?

"SDN, reviewed my application, practice interview, practice essay writting, made a list of the reasons I wanted to attend UCSD's school of pharmacy. " Report Response

What impressed you positively?

"How everything about the school is new (program, building, etc.), how enthusiastic the faculty were about the program's potential, how unique the program is (classes with medical students, small class size). " Report Response

What impressed you negatively?

"The interview was on a Monday, so all the students were in class taking a test and there were no students to talk to about the program. Because no students were free to help out with the interview, the interview was conducted by two faculty members. The faculty members seemed as though they weren't trying to be intimidating, but they still were. Having a student present during the interview would have made the experience much more enjoyable." Report Response

What did you wish you had known ahead of time?

"That early weekday interviews are conducted by two faculty members." Report Response

What are your general comments?

"I thought I was terrible at the interview. I didn't think I connected with the interviewers, I was nervous the whole time, and I felt as though I failed big time after it was all done. The funny thing is that I still was offered a position in the program. I'm not quite sure how that worked out. They must have sensed that I had done my research on the school, I had prepared for the interview, and that I had a really strong desire to attend the school. " Report Response
