"Where do you see yourself 5 years after graduation?" Report Response | I was asked this question too
"If you were working in a group of 5 students and two students were not contributing, how would you handle this? " Report Response | I was asked this question too
"Besides textbooks, what books have you/are you currently reading and why did you choose them?" Report Response | I was asked this question too
"Read the student reviews on this website! All of the questions that were asked, were listed from different student reviews on this website." Report Response
"The enthusiasm of the students and faculty members (including alumni). Both faculty members that interviewed me were Howard alumni and they had nothing but good things to say about the program." Report Response
"The facilities were run down, didn't seem like much had been updated since the main building was established in the 50's. Also, the accredidation of the program was placed on probationary status by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education. When I asked faculty/staff members about this, they seemed to shrug it off like it wasn't that big of a deal - definite negative." Report Response
"Expect disorganization. I read other student reviews which warned me of this, so I felt somewhat prepared instead of irritated or overwhelmed." Report Response
"I felt prepared, mainly due to the feedback on this website. The interview process was a little disorganized, but all in all, it wasn't too bad. I showed up, checked in, then was taken up to a waiting room full of 12-15 students. An advisor came and talked to us, gave us some background/history of the school, then current students helped out by handing out the writing and math tests. The writing portion consisted of six questions, which we got to choose one and write a short essay in 25 minutes. (Questions included topics such as "What qualities must a successful pharmacy student possess?" and "What does HIPAA stand for and what does it mean to the health profession?" and "What traits must a good pharmacist have and practice?". The math quiz is 30 questions in 25-30 minutes. Think basic PCAT math, with about 5 calc questions. Nothing too horrible. They "ran out of time" so there wasn't a real tour of the school, only a student quickly pointing out main buildings as we walked over to the faculty offices to interview. Each faculty member had a sheet of questions and took turns asking. Wasn't too stressful or intimidating, just relax and think of it more like a conversation as oppossed to an interrogation. After the interview, the day was done and it was time to go home. All in all, it took about 2.5-3 hours." Report Response
