"One of the best children's hospital in the country, as far as resources, departments, research, etc. Zebras on top of zebras, while still having adequate access to the horses. The possibilities for career connections and networking are unmatched."

"1. great city with lots of sports/arts/music and easy train ride to other major cities (NYC, DC), 2. friendly residents who seemed happy and all know each other despite size of program (in contrast to other large residency programs), 3. gorgeous free-standing hospital, 4. can go anywhere for fellowship, 5. excellent international opportunities (apparently 18 residents going abroad this year!), 6. get to see zebras + bread-n-butter stuff; 7. free lunch & breakfast daily (variety of food, sometimes it gets old and ppl buy their own; get approx $7 per on call, but can use it for any meal really; 8. USMLE step 3 is paid for"

"The physicians were warm and open. I was apprehensive at first and thought they might be cold and hard to warm up to."

"Program size is huge, with 40 residents/class - made me feel like it'd be easy to get lost in the crowd. PD is leaving this year and it probably won't be an issue, but that leaves a small element of chance that the new one won't be as good. "

"1. attendings don't attend morning report/conferences; 2. interns are usually too busy to attend morning report; 3. new program director for our intern class (could also be viewed as a positive factor because many applicants for the position), 4. heavy call schedule, carry 8-10 patients, can admit up 10-18 patients each night "
