"Very friendly program. Program director seems to really care about making residency a good experience for his residents. Public hospital in the middle of an upper-class section of the Bronx, so a wide variety of patients and diseases are seen. No fellows at the hospital so every patient is managed by the Peds residents. Excellent relationship between residents and specialty attendings. Board review is 12 half-days in the third year."

"Very few call-free months during first and second years. No upper limit on # of patients interns carry. No school housing available and no housing stipend. Cafeteria is Au Bon Pain and there aren't a lot of other options in the neighborhood"

"Program director and both chief residents were waiting for us in the conference room. PD gave program intro with time to answer questions. Interview with faculty member was about 35 min long, then tour of hospital. Second interview was with a member of the program director's staff or one of the chiefs. Lunch was very well attended by current residents with ample time for questions. Day ended with an overview of the residency website including current schedules."
