"1. phenomenal subsidized apartments for Cornell residents, attendings, nurses right across the street = nice community in residential neighborhood!; 2. noon conference and morning report; separate NICU/PICU conferences; 3. very socioeconomically diverse patient population (from private wealthy to underserved); 4. FUN city, so much to do!; 5. day/night float system (shiftwork); 6. very unique - 3 week rotations! 7. lunch everyday at MSK"

"Where do I begin....Interns/residents are awesome, so down-to-earth, supportive, bright, and outgoing. They are by far the most impressive part of the program. Location is great and so is the subsidized housing. You get so spend a few months as Memorial Sloan-Ketting!!!!! Love it. Multiple sites for training including Queens Hospital for more primary care experience. International experiences available and encouraged. Very supportive program that really looks out for residents. Dessert night before interview day was very well-attended. Morning report was well-attended and well-run by chief resident. Diverse patient population from various socioeconomic backgrounds and countries including non-English speaking patients. Very well supported research opportunities with a person who specifically helps you out in finding a mentor. The great resources of Cornell, MSKCC, and Rockefeller."

"1. radiology rounds ward attending instead of pediatric radiologist on separate PACs computer in work room; 2. annoyingly long tour (2 hours?); 3. NYC known to have poor ancillary care/tough nurses; 4. maybe too much onc? not sure; 5. peds floor shared with adults; 6. many ppl stay in NYC for residency (assuming this is by choice?)"

"I would prefer a stand-alone hospital, but this is not possible because of property costs. Honestly, the program is so great that it does not make too much of a difference. EMR only for certain sites. Overall, such a great program with few negatives"

"Morning report (with breakfast). Talk with PD and Chairman. First interview. Tour. Lunch with residents. Second interview (some people have second interview in the morning as well so are done early). Residents are available to answer questions while you are waiting for your interviews in the AM. Overall, great program with a very supportive environment and great residents. Only program so far where I liked all of the interns/residents and applicants. Will be #1 on my list right now. I was very impressed and Chairman/PD stated that Cornell is putting more money and work into making the pediatric program even better, including expanding the number of beds on the peds floor (one adult wing still there) as well as affording more opportunities for interns/residents.
