Very smart residents, strong morning report, variety of pathology seen at hospital, you come out having seen a lot of stuff and learn by doing Report as inappropriate
What impressed you negatively?:
Little community pediatrics exposure, residents work very hard (got the impression they violated work hours fairly regularly), 2/3+ of residents live in Rodney which is the hospital owned apartment across the street (felt very dormy and college-like), lots and lots of drinking at pre-interview gathering (residents had 5 rounds of shots over an hour and a half), residents seemed to belittle the importance of bread-and-butter peds and reading about patients saying that they learn by doing and volume instead, tough call schedule Report as inappropriate

morning report, PD overview (very long), tour, lunch with residents, interview, meet with dept. chair, tour of Rodney (thought it was a little odd they included this--underlined how much of residents social life revolved around this building) Report as inappropriate
