Obviously the location is fantastic. Sunny and 70 in January is nice compared to the east coast. Good family feel among residents. Report as inappropriate
What impressed you negatively?:
Very weak in pediatrics and ICU. Resident openly state that ICU is in flux and they used to work in medical ICU, but were not welcomed there so in process of change. Only 2 months of pediatrics and will get very limited outside of those 2 months. At dinner residents spent more time socializing among themselves at times. Paper records still. Still lags behind UCSF, Stanford, University of Washington , OHSU and UCLA in terms of west coast programs. Report as inappropriate
How was your interview day? Please summarize.:
Starts at 6:20 with grand rounds (Why do they do this to people for no real good reason). Interviews or Tour for 2 hours. Take you in Limo around San Diego. It is very pretty but don't really learn about the program that much from it. Lunch and then day is over. Report as inappropriate
