"1- The administration is pushes family practice, not only to the enthusiasm of the specialty, but also to the detriment of other specialties. The family medicine interest group receives large funding and attention, while the specialty interest groups scrape for funding and have maybe one meeting per year. The faculty has been known to actively deter people from pursuing other specialty interests. 2- All rotations are done in community hospitals, meaning when you leave, you are relatively unprepared to function in the academic setting associated with most residency programs."
