What type of interview was it?

What is one of the specific questions they asked you (question 1)?

"Almost nothing was directly asked. I basically engaged in two separate, long conversations. To be honest, I don't even know if the interviews were supposed to be open or closed file! (Not sure whether this is a good or bad thing in retrospect)." Report Response | I was asked this question too

What was the most interesting question?

"Why would I possibly be interested in joining an ethics committee or IRB (an eventual goal of mine)?" Report Response | I was asked this question too

What was the most difficult question?

"Nothing at all." Report Response | I was asked this question too

How did you prepare for the interview?

"This website, UConn website, previous interview experiences." Report Response

What impressed you positively?

"Quite a bit. Systems-based curriculum, PBL, minimal lecture time (and the PBL session on the tour, while rudimentary, was still cool). The facilities surprised me by how nice they are, particulary since it's a state school. Better-than-expected avg board score (220 for Step 1), students seem fairly competitive for resident match. " Report Response

What impressed you negatively?

"Nothing I can think of right now... Farmington isn't the most happening place I guess." Report Response

What did you wish you had known ahead of time?

"I've interviewed at quite a few places, and UConn is at the top of my list. I'm not really sure why this school doesn't get more respect (good curriculum, good facilities, MSTP-funded) because it seems like a great place to attend school." Report Response

What are your general comments?

"I really liked this school (see comments below). I think it would be a great place to study medicine, for a variety of reasons. Connecticut residents are lucky this is their state school." Report Response
