"I had a very positive experience. I had heard very good things about NYU and they all proved to be true. The interviewer was very sincere and had read my file beforehand. He asked me really only two questions: what do I do now and what do I really know about dentistry. The rest of the time was very conversational, we talked about how a dental degree is not really necessarily the ticket to easy street (which I of course knew). He asked me what questions I had and I asked about the school's culture/competitiveness and what NYU did to help students find jobs after graduation. He said since most go on to do GPRs it's not really as much of an issue for NYU. I really liked NYU and how its size gives you the opportunity to pursue any of your particular interests, be they research, outreach, specialties, etc. I love the diversity and exposure to international students. I think their clinical program is very strong. Anything you want to do while at school, you can do it. For me, the only downside is the extremely high cost of living. Who has $2500 a month to pay just for rent as a grad student??" Report Response
