✅ Interview Preparation and Impressions

How is the friendliness of the admissions office?

How is the responsiveness of the admissions office?

How did you prepare for the interview?

I read my application essay, reviewed eveything in my resume, made sure I could discuss the research I have done at various lab jobs, read Norman Gevitz's book on DO's in America and thought of questions to ask the interviewers.

What impressed you positively?

The dedication the faculty seems to have to the program and students, especially the time given to patient stimulations early on in the program.

What impressed you negatively?

The clinical staff doesn't seem to be involved in too much research.

What did you wish you had known ahead of time?

Just more information on how the interview would be conducted.

What are your general comments?

One professor did most of the questioning. It was rapid fire at first and with a challenging tone (I don't believe you feel to it), but after the first few minutes of answering the questions, things settled down and was less combative. I would say just relax, think about your answer and always remain positive. It was long, but not too bad at all.
