What do you like most?

I love how hard the faculty push you to get better in sim lab before reaching the clinic. It seems very harsh and more rigorous than what others face at other universities, but is fantastic for producing beautiful work and confidence in clinic.

What do you like least?

We just opened a new clinic and have begun a new integrated curriculum and many bugs are still being worked out. I trust things will be running very smoothly by fall of 2020.

Rotations vary from different low SES clinics around the DFW metroplex to the BUMC hospital. Many opportunities to learn and gain experience are available.

Any other information you want to share?

Currently (2020) TAMCOD is undergoing some pretty big changes. A completely new revamped curriculum along with a brand new clinic building inherently come with many obstacles to overcome. Fortunately, for the most part, the administration and faculty have been listening more so to the needs of the student body and are addressing the concerns we have. We take pride in our school and the quality of dentists it produces so it is important for us as students to make sure that we pass down the already incredible reputation that our school has to future generations of dentists.
