"Commitment to education. 5-year accreditation status. High 90% for Board scores. Everyone passes. Great PT/OT gyms (beautiful), they even built a little city at JFK Johnson to test ADLs in the real world. Connected to a major hospital -- meaning PM&R residents don't have to run codes if they aren't prepared. Home call. Still have to work all day the next day if call was long. Dedicated Board study time in 4th year."

"The interviewers posed challenging, provocative questions. Interviews felt more like a conversation between colleagues, rather than grill session."

"I interviewed pretty early in the interview season, and there were only 5 of us interviewing. I would have hoped the interviewers would have at least glanced at our applications."

"Little to no chance for away electives. Did not get to meet Dr. DeLisa. Slight NJ traffic enroute to Kessler west (typical for area). Non-categorical, NJMS program should push for categorical as preliminary training at NJMS-Univerisity Hospital in Newark would be phenomenal."

"Arrival by 8:15, group presentation (overview of program) with PD and light breakfast. 9 interviewees divided into 2 groups, one group for interviews and second for facilities tour, then switch. Lunch with residents was casual and laid back. About an hour of small talk and getting to know each other. I interviewed with 1. Dr. Kirschblum (SCI), 2. Dr. Anan (Peds rehab), 3. Chief resident, 4. Dr. Garstang "
