"Really nice free-standing children's hospital (attached to main Stanford hospital). Pretty cush schedule with less q4 and more elective time than other programs. Residents seemed happy and program takes care of them. New PD who seemed enthusiastic with lots of ideas for the program. Good EMR that residents said makes life easy. Lots of international health and research opportunities. People go on to great fellowships."

"Did not meet many residents during the interview day. Program seems focused on very quaternary patient population (ie transplant pts) at LPCH. Not sure about getting enough gen peds exposure. Get gen peds at other sites (Santa Clara Valley) where you spend less time. Palo Alto seemed kind of boring and pricey, though Stanford offers some cheaper resident housing which some residents live in."
