"Almost everything. The school is amazing. It's right in the community, which is great. The facilities are very impressive, including the sim lab and the anatomy lab. Every single student was super friendly and very happy to be there." More from this Member | Report Response

"The SIM lab." More from this Member | Report Response

"After the interview, I got to talk to lots of students who went to the school of the record and get there impression of what the school was like" More from this Member | Report Response

"Faculty and students all seemed genuinely excited about the school & its mission, nice facilities (although in a not so nice area)" More from this Member | Report Response

"The facilities are up to date and the faculty seems like they genuinely care about the students' success. I like how thoroughly they covered their curriculum in the info session. The SIM center is cool." More from this Member | Report Response

"Organization of the day, how happy students seemed, relaxed and kind environment, faculty support and encouragement throughout the day, facilities. Also no sense of 'you should come here because we are the best.' They really give students all the info objectively and know that the small group/Cooper values may not be for everyone. Faculty also addressed concerns many may have about living in Camden. They made sure to stress the security protocols in place to help students feel comfortable. Really appreciated that part." More from this Member | Report Response

"Beautiful building" More from this Member | Report Response

"People are amazing at the school" More from this Member | Report Response

"The curriculum, the integration of the school into the community, the fact that students said that all of the staff know who they are, all the measures the school is taking to increase student happiness." More from this Member | Report Response

"Cooper has a very supportive learning environment. I asked several questions about doing different activities that were not currently offered, and was told that everyone would work with me to see that I had opportunities to start these programs." More from this Member | Report Response

"Incredibly innovative curriculum, in both the "pre-clinical" and "clinical" years, with extensive clinical work starting in week 3. Great facilities. Vivacious faculty." More from this Member | Report Response

"Very enthusiastic committed people, strong clinical experience" More from this Member | Report Response

"The interviewers were very engaging and interested to be there. Although they were physicians and not adcom members, they took the interviewer role seriously and I enjoyed our conversation." More from this Member | Report Response

"The facilities were grade-A, and everyone on the staff that I met was very friendly and enthusiastic about the school." More from this Member | Report Response

"Faculty and staff were extremely positive and encouraging with great senses of humor." More from this Member | Report Response

What impressed you negatively?

"Nothing. It feels like an up-and-coming school that's out to grow and accomplish a lot." More from this Member | Report Response

"It had nothing to do with the interview day/admissions staff but I think everyone wished it was in person. Hopefully next year it will be." More from this Member | Report Response

"The surrounding area, not many places to go to eat" More from this Member | Report Response

"The exams are professor written, not NBME. That's the only downside I saw." More from this Member | Report Response

"Area obviously" More from this Member | Report Response

"the area surrounding the school is not the nicest. Most people live in philly, but I would want to do that too. it seems not that inconvenient. Having early morning classes." More from this Member | Report Response

"Financial aid presentation could have been shorter" More from this Member | Report Response

"The area. Although it seems like an interesting/diverse patient population, there isn't much to do outside of the school's main building. It seems like most of the students travel to Philly if they want to do something fun." More from this Member | Report Response

"N/A" More from this Member | Report Response

"......... Camden. Most students life either across the street or in a neighboring town and commute in via train." More from this Member | Report Response

"The 2-interviewers-on-1-student didn't come off the right way for me. I would prefer two 1-on-1 interviews." More from this Member | Report Response

"Lack of a match list." More from this Member | Report Response

"As an out of state student, it's going to be REALLY expensive." More from this Member | Report Response

"Only the fact that they are new, and somewhat unproven. However, I do not foresee any problems with students passing boards or the last stages of certification." More from this Member | Report Response

"Camden is a difficult area - but Cooper is working to improve it. I almost wish I was interviewing here in 2 or 3 years, as there's some much incredible stuff that is in process and will be finished soon." More from this Member | Report Response

"Still very new, lots of empty lab space" More from this Member | Report Response

"Nothing, if you are unfamiliar with Camden you will probably not like the neighborhood but for those of us who are familiar we already knew what to expect." More from this Member | Report Response

"I only had reservations over the fact that the actual school building was not yet built, and thus I could not tour it." More from this Member | Report Response

What did you wish you had known ahead of time?

"1 interviewer is open file and the other does not know anything about you at all. Keep this in mind as you respond!" More from this Member | Report Response

"How chill the interview would be." More from this Member | Report Response

"How conversational the interview would be." More from this Member | Report Response

"You have a strict 30 minutes (there was a timer) and that you should not succumb to the relaxed nature of the interview; remember that this is a medical school interview and you should still try to be formal" More from this Member | Report Response

"I was pretty well prepared. They don't provide lunch, but they do provide breakfast." More from this Member | Report Response

"Nothing" More from this Member | Report Response

"that you are choosing the school as much as they are choosing you. if you get accepted into multiple schools, you have to make a decision. You are allowed to ask them about time off allotted for step studying and what the usmle scores were." More from this Member | Report Response

"That the interview was going to be 2-on-1 (it was kind of awkward talking to two people at the same time, and tailoring your answers to one person who knows your file, and another who is blinded)" More from this Member | Report Response

"How short the interview would be! It was relatively low stress and only about 20 minutes." More from this Member | Report Response

"That it would be a relaxed and fun day. And that the patient interview part is SHORT. It flies by and then you're on your way to the next part of the interview." More from this Member | Report Response

"Nothing, they gave us all the information that we needed." More from this Member | Report Response

"Nothing in particular. I felt good about my preparation." More from this Member | Report Response

"Not to worry so much!" More from this Member | Report Response

"Don't stress so much! Be prepared to speak in front of the wholegroup for 20 seconds and introduce yourself." More from this Member | Report Response

"Which touring group I was in." More from this Member | Report Response

"I wish I would have known that the interview was going to be short." More from this Member | Report Response

What are your general comments?

"They really try to make you feel comfortable" More from this Member | Report Response

"Great community centered school tied to the best hospital in South Jersey." More from this Member | Report Response

"30 minutes goes by so fast; they only asked me 5 or 6 questions. I was definitely over-prepared. Two on one interview with one interviewer open file and one closed file is a little awkward; the closed file interviewer didn't ask me any questions and just sat there quietly staring me down. Other than that everything went perfectly and I love this school :)" More from this Member | Report Response

"It was a fine school, I felt extremely rushed due to being timed and having to explain my involvements from scratch due to the closed file" More from this Member | Report Response

"This school is amazing. I will be very fortunate to get accepted." More from this Member | Report Response

"Really short interview, really long day." More from this Member | Report Response

"this school lets you know immediately (within a week or two what they are doing with your file which was great to know that you've gotten your first acceptance)" More from this Member | Report Response

"N/A" More from this Member | Report Response

"Know your app, and keep in mind that this school has a very unique mission and location that they are passionate about." More from this Member | Report Response

"Seems like such a kind and supportive environment to go to school in. You'll hear that it is relaxed and just keep that in mind. It really is an enjoyable day where they want to get to know you. Stay calm and try to have fun. Also for the interview- it WAS a conversation where you are given time to talk, as much as you want. Not a speedy Q & A format at all. I think whatever you say kind of directs the conversation/questioning. I would be most prepared for, 'Why Medicine' 'Why Cooper?' and 'Why Camden?' Have fun!" More from this Member | Report Response

"Good school, beautiful building but the surrounding area looks a bit sketch" More from this Member | Report Response

"LOVED this school. I think that the environment is what makes Cooper a unique and amazing place to go to medical school." More from this Member | Report Response

"If it weren't for the super-expensive tuition, Cooper would be my number one choice, no question. Their combination of mission and innovative curriculum is just fantastic. But I'm not sure I can justify the OOS tuition when I also have interviews at in state schools that are going to be much cheaper." More from this Member | Report Response

"Great Place to Interview! Great School!" More from this Member | Report Response

"The day was relatively short. We had the obligatory tour and information sessions, but the really interesting part was that we had two mini standardized-patient interviews, which required no medical knowledge but were instead an evaluation of interpersonal skills. They also had small ethical dilemmas weaved in as well. The interview itself was a 2 on 1 affair, with one open-file and one blinded interviewer. It was very conversational and quite short -- the blinded interviewer asked 3 questions from her "list", and the open one asked 1, but the rest of them were drawn from my responses. In general, the school impressed me greatly." More from this Member | Report Response

"Interview is 2:1 with one open file and one closed file at the same time. Makes for some awkward moments and I wished I had treated it more like completely closed file." More from this Member | Report Response

"Great school, hope I can go there." More from this Member | Report Response

"Awesome school to interview for, very relaxed atmosphere, approachable staff." More from this Member | Report Response
