"The faculty, administrators, and support staff at Wake Forest School of Medicine (and the associated Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center) make this medical school, in my humble opinion, one of the best places to study medicine in the country. As a student I had the opportunity to explore every prospective specialty and subspecialty of medicine that I was interested in starting on Day 1 of medical school (actually, if I'm being honest I emailed a few physicians prior to medical school letting them know I was interested in shadowing them -- they all responded with warm and welcoming replies). I was able to fully invest my full efforts into my studies, all the while being supported by professors, doctors and school administrators who KNOW that all of us are a little different with how we study, what resources we will enjoy using and how we will respond to the stresses that are inherent to medical school. When an opportunity arose for me to pursue a learning opportunity outside of the planned and programmed curriculum EVERYONE on staff (from doctors in the department of my desired specialty all the way up to the Dean of the Medical School) was 100% supportive of me pursuing my dreams. I was incredibly lucky being able to attend Wake Forest School of Medicine (about to graduate), and if I could do it all over again, I would not change a thing."
