How did you prepare for the interview?
Applicants commonly prepared for the interview by reading SDN interview feedback, studying questions asked at other schools, and doing mock interviews. Many felt more confident after multiple interviews and practice sessions with family or friends.
I studied interview questions asked at other schools. I also did a mock interview with my mom and sister. This was my third interview so I was feeling a little more confident.
Applicants were most impressed by the friendly and approachable staff, as well as the welcoming and relaxed atmosphere of the campus. They appreciated the supportive community and felt comfortable being themselves in this environment.
I loved the faculty and admins they were all very nice, not as stuffy as the other schools I went to. Much more relaxed cool vibe, I felt like I was more able to be myself. I liked that it was a closed campus. The students were also very nice and down to earth.
Applicants were most commonly unimpressed by the small size of the pharmacy school's facilities, particularly the limited number of classrooms, and the lack of advanced technology compared to other schools. Additionally, the negative impression of an ongoing construction project affecting class setup was also a notable concern.
The only thing that was negative to me was how small the pharmacy school was. I think they only had three classrooms. I thought it would be a bigger building. They were also lacking in technology department compared to other schools that I interviewed at.
Many applicants expressed a desire to know in advance about specific aspects of the interview process, such as the inclusion of a writing portion, and the true nature of the school's location to avoid being deterred by potentially misleading information.
I wish I would have known that they had a writing portion during the interview. The question is exactly the same as the essay portion of PharmCas. Why pharmacy and what are your long term goals?
That the school is NOT in a horrible area. I almost didn't go because I read so many negative comments about the location and such. It seemed perfectly fine to me.
Applicants commonly expressed positive surprises about campus diversity and educational experiences at CSU, emphasizing the importance of diversity in their academic journey and dispelling negative perceptions about the campus environment.
The campus is not bad as people in this forum make it out to be. Maybe because I am a minority and I am used to diversity. Some people might not be used to it.
My experience at CSU was much better than I had anticipated. I think I would come out of this school with a great education. I love the focus on diversity at this school.
