If someone wants to euthanize a perfectly healthy dog and won’t listen to anything you have to say, what do you do?
They persisted and said the person would take the dog into a ditch and shoot it with the loaded gun they had in their vehicle if I didn’t euthanize. They took my response of calling the cops as unacceptable.

How did you prepare for the interview?
Applicants commonly prepared for the interview by conducting online research, reviewing information about the organization or school, and seeking guidance from mentors. They also focused on familiarizing themselves with potential interview questions to feel more confident and prepared.
Researched online, looked at school website, asked my mentor questions.
Applicants were positively impressed by the friendly and welcoming demeanor of the staff, who made an effort to create a comfortable and inviting atmosphere.
Applicants commonly expressed negative impressions of rude or overly aggressive interviewers, such as panel members who raised their voices and belittled them. Suggestions for improvement included providing a more professional and respectful interview experience.
The panel I had was not great. Specifically, there was one very rude panel remember who would raise her voice at me and belittle me. I get that they want someone to put pressure on you to see how you handle it but I think she went very over the top.
Applicants commonly expressed a desire for more information about the intensity of the panel interviews and the expectations regarding knowledge in specific areas like agriculture. Many applicants also felt that there should be more transparency and fairness in the selection process, especially for students from different universities.
I wish I had known it would be so intense. Everyone says the panel is so friendly and makes you feel comfortable, but what I didn’t know is that there are two separate panels. As luck goes I didn’t get the friendly one that everyone had been raving about. I also wish I knew more about Ag. Being a UofR student and being a part of the SK pool, they expected me to know so much about agriculture when UofR doesn’t have any ag classes. I feel it was very unfair and probably mostly USask students are successful over Regina students for the 20 SK spots.
Applicants expressed disappointment with interview conduct and felt unfairly targeted by a panel member, impacting their overall experience and performance. Suggestions include ensuring professionalism and respectful communication during interviews to create a positive and fair evaluation environment.
I wasn’t thrilled with how the interview went. All of that aside I feel the one panel member destroyed my chances of a good interview. Being a vet, I know I would face difficult clients and have issues many days. But I wasn’t expecting to have a panel member attack me so I was a little shocked and I feel like that made the last 35 minutes of my interview just continue roll downhill at full speed.
