I did a lot of research on the program because this was my number 1 going in. I had talked with a current grad student for months and knew the program really well!
Applicants were overwhelmingly impressed by the welcoming environment and supportive people within the program. They also highlighted the excellent resources, modern facilities, and strong connection with professors as major positives that stood out to them.
The people were a definite plus, I just felt comfortable there! The resources were amazing and the building was quite new so that was a big plus for me. I meshed research wise with the professors insanely well. I just can't say enough good things, it is the perfect program for me!
Applicants commonly expressed concerns about the extensive interview process involving multiple faculty members and graduate students, leading to a long and potentially exhausting day. Additionally, some applicants were not completely convinced about the location of Morgantown, indicating a need for further information or reassurance about the area.
It wasn't a biggie but you have to interview with all the adult clinical faculty and most of the grad students so it is a LONG day. I am also not 100% sold on Morgantown, though it looks alright.
Many applicants expressed a wish to have had more information about the program beforehand to better prepare and make informed decisions. They recommended conducting thorough research and seeking insights from current or past participants to have a clearer understanding of the program expectations and requirements.
Nothing, I knew the program inside and out before I went.
Applicants generally provided positive feedback about the interview process, highlighting the multiple interview rounds, building tour, and department party. They found the experience engaging and enjoyable, considering it one of the best interviews they had attended.
I had about 14 interviews, half hour ones at first and then 15 minute ones in the afternoon. We also received a tour of the building including the clinic and research labs. The night after the interview there was a huge party for the department with free alcohol (which I personally didn't touch). I at first thought this was a test to see if someone would get drunk, but I don't feel that way now as much. It was just a good way to meet the rest of the department. It was an amazing experience; by far the best interview I went on and I went on several!
