About the School

The Methodist University Cape Fear Valley Health School of Medicine, established through a partnership between Methodist University and Cape Fear Valley Health in 2023, is located on the Cape Fear Valley Medical Center campus in Fayetteville, North Carolina. The school aims to address regional healthcare needs by preparing graduates to be socially accountable, community-engaged, evidence-based, compassionate, and equity-focused physician leaders. Curriculum

Students will participate in healthcare throughout the eight-county region from their first year in medical school. The state-of-the-art, five-story facility, located on the western edge of Cape Fear Valley Medical Center along Village Drive, encompasses 127,500 square feet and includes 200 rooms. Features include learning centers, state-of-the-art classrooms, community and multi-purpose rooms, student lounges, a commons area, a virtual anatomy laboratory, a fully equipped standardized patient lab, conference rooms, and spaces for faculty and staff. The facility also offers an entrance plaza, learning garden, and courtyard.
