About the School

Spartan Health Sciences University School of Medicine, offers a four-year (36 calendar month) academic program leading to the Doctor of Medicine degree (M.D.), and is taught on a trimester (four months) schedule.

Curriculum

The curriculum of the University's Doctor of Medicine degree program encompasses a comprehensive course of Basic Sciences (BS), Pre-clinical and Clinical Sciences (CS) that is for four (4) academic years. The trimester period commences in January, May, and September of each year. A student may elect to enter in any one of the three (3) trimesters.

Facilities

The University campus consists of a modern multi-million dollar medical school complex. After many years of planning, construction was completed in August, 1997. Four (4) large classrooms with modern audio-visual aids occupy the four corners of the first floor. The corridors joining these classrooms surround the central administrative block. This block contains a separate conference room as well as administrative offices. The entire University complex is fully air-conditioned. Of the four (4) classrooms, the front right classroom has the Anatomy and Histology laboratory including an isolated dissection room and cadaver storage facility. The rear left classroom adjoins a separate student lounge and a student recreation area with a stage. When the accordion walls between these three (3) areas are open, the resulting space converts into a very large auditorium.
