This program is designed to prepare graduates to diagnose, treat, and manage patients with hearing and balance disorders. The college also provides an online AuD Bridge Program, a Master of Science in Clinical Audiology for international audiologists, and Advanced Studies Certificate Programs. The mission of the Osborne College of Audiology is to lead in innovative education, research, and service in training students for the practice of audiological medicine.

The AuD curriculum at Salus University is built upon a biomedical science and neuroscience foundation, emphasizing strong clinical training. Students gain close to 2,500 hours of clinical training, exceeding accreditation minimums, which provides them with a significant advantage as they enter the profession. The program offers both a traditional four-year track and an accelerated three-year track, both containing the same curriculum, with the three-year track being more condensed. Early clinical experience begins in the first term, with direct patient care starting in the second term.

Facilities

Salus University boasts state-of-the-art facilities that enhance the learning experience for audiology students. The Pennsylvania Ear Institute, the on-campus clinical facility, provides hands-on training and exposes students to a wide range of hearing and balance disorders. Additionally, students have access to four training labs, including the Clinical Skills Lab with fully-equipped audiometric booths, the Vestibular and Balance Lab, the Electrophysiology Lab, and the Hearing Aid Lab. These dedicated spaces allow students to hone their skills without impacting clinic operations.

Demographics

Salus University is a graduate-specific institution with a total enrollment of over 1,200 students, making it the nation's largest Doctor of Audiology program.
