**I hear** we typically have residents that are VERY well prepared to patient care due to the extensive pt experience during school. We place residents all over the US and many are able to match in competitive residency programs like Ortho and Neurosurgery (if they are interested and bust their butts during school).

Several basic science faculty that have very active and prestigious research labs. Director of clinical research is very helpful. Pt contact comes early and often. As a third year student, you are actively participating in everyday care of your hospital patients. Appropriate autonomy is given to both students and residents.
