What do you like most?

Excellent educational opportunities. welcoming atmosphere. great if youre pursuing neurology or orthopedics.

What do you like least?

third year grading system is problematic. The school operates on a 20% honors, 30% High Pass and 50% pass and the grades are almost entirely based on evaluations (some clerkships consider SHELF to be worth 20% but all require passing this exam). Since evaluations are highly subjective and entirely dependent on who is evaluating you, the grading system is neither accurate nor precise which means that you can get unlucky even if you are attractive and charming. You may find that comparable institutions (Brown, Boston, Dartmouth, Tufts, etc) do much better in the match.

Any other information you want to share?

The school has a decent reputation in almost every regard and a deserved excellent reputation in education. There are many opportunities to take advantage of at UR but be aware that you may end up with a less than desirable match or be unable to go for a competitive specialty given the unfortunate grading system.
