✅ Interview Preparation and Impressions

How is the friendliness of the admissions office?

9 out of 10

How is the responsiveness of the admissions office?

9 out of 10

How did you prepare for the interview?

I made a spreadsheet of all the Qs from sdn + basic interview Qs (i.e. why medicine, etc.), wrote out my answers, used the STAR method, & practiced verbalizing answers with multiple people

What impressed you positively?

OU Tulsa - everyone was so kind & welcoming! OU OKC - interviewers were friendly

What impressed you negatively?

OU Tulsa - nothing; OU OKC - from the interview, it didn't feel like they really tried to get to know me (probably from lack of time); students didn't have many answers about curriculum changes (comparing them to OU Tulsa students who were able to provide answers on this)

What did you wish you had known ahead of time?

OU Tulsa - I wish I'd known my interview time slot & that similar to OKC, you'll have a panel of 2-3 people interviewing you. It is more casual/relaxed, but they do ask you some typical interview Qs. OU OKC - that the focus really does seem to be just on the core competencies for the interview

What are your general comments?

OU Tulsa - the medical students & staff participating in interview activities seem to be better prepared/equipped to answer questions regarding upcoming changes, etc. (compared to OKC); OKC - everyone was kind and professional, but a little less welcoming (compared to Tulsa)

What are your suggestions for the admissions office?

No responses
