What impressed you positively?

The new Health Education Building is absolutely incredible. The architect for it was the same guy who designed the new Apple Campus, and you can definitely tell. It is super futuristic, the classrooms are amazing, and the technology is so cool. The IQ curriculum seems super beneficial, and it gives students a ton of flexible time. School is located next to four incredible hospitals, including one of the best hospitals in the whole country.

What impressed you negatively?

This is the first year they're doing two weeks of crash course anatomy with cadavers and then moving to an augmented reality anatomy for the rest of the pre-clinical years. This is super cool, and a lot of money went into it, but I think it is yet to be seen how this will be for students in the long term. Also, Cleveland isn't the best city there is lol.

What did you wish you had known ahead of time?

You might get stuck with both of your interviews in the afternoon, like I did. This just added a little stress to my day as I had to eat lunch and go on the tour without having done either of my interviews yet.

What are your general comments?

This school is incredible, the facilities are brand new and state-of-the-art, and the hospitals nearby are top-notch. True pass/fail curriculum with no ranking makes for a non-competitive environment, and the students here seem very happy.

What are your suggestions for the admissions office?

Maybe standardize the student tours a bit more. My tour was only 20-30 minutes long, whereas the other tour group got a full 50 minutes and I'm sure they saw a bit more.
