How is the responsiveness of the admissions office?

How did you prepare for the interview?

I researched UCSF, made a list of answers to potential questions, and read feedback on studentdoctor.net

What impressed you positively?

The facilities and enthusiasm of the students I met, it suprised me, most people made negative comments about UCSF before I came.

What impressed you negatively?

The difficulty in trying to contact the admissions staff with questions prior to coming to the interview. All of my travel info on arriving at the school came from outside sources.

What did you wish you had known ahead of time?

How relaxed it would be, people and myself were making me think I was going to be interrogated heavily and given the cold shoulder by people at the school. Not so!

What are your general comments?

Welcomed by a faculty member. Brief overview of USCF's SOD background, financial aid talk, while snacking on some nice brkfast treats (fresh fruits, OJ, H20, coffee, bagels, croissants). Introduce each other (fellow interviewees). 10 min essay write. Faculty/student interview. Student tour. Outro. I enjoyed the people I met, both the fellow interveiwees and students and staff. I like the fact that UCSF is in the middle of all this nice lil restaurants and near golden gate park.

What are your suggestions for the admissions office?
