How is the responsiveness of the admissions office?

No responses

How did you prepare for the interview?

Read a lot about the school and read SDN.

What impressed you positively?

Nothing at all.

What impressed you negatively?

The fact that the interviewer had asked me where I was from excited me and I went on to explain my background, however, when they started talking about my religious views and the riots between palestine and isreal I felt I was in a politics class rather than in a med school interview.... What does that have to do with medicine ? As a doctor I am unbiased and I felt that these doctors in front of me were very very biased people...Very sad.

What did you wish you had known ahead of time?

Surprisingly I was accepted, I dont know how, I had good MCAT scores, but I will definitely not attend a school in which I do not feel welcome and which my religion is questioned.

What are your general comments?

Very very bad. I was the last one to be called in, This was done in no particular order. When the lady would come out to call people she would just point and let the person in. I was the first person to show up for the interview and she knew this, yet she called me in last. Ofcourse I was smiling the entire time. It wasnt till I got inside the room and they started questioning me about everything in the world except for my med school application. They did ask me why I wanted to become a doctor and when I finished they said, is anyone in your family a doctor and do women in your family think its unusual for you to be going to med school....
