What social needs do you hope to address by practicing medicine?

✅ Interview Preparation and Impressions

How is the friendliness of the admissions office?

No responses

How is the responsiveness of the admissions office?

No responses

How did you prepare for the interview?

I reviewed Pitt's materials (Person to Person booklet), and my primary and secondary application essays.

What impressed you positively?

The atmosphere was generally cooperative, warm, and welcoming. The admissions staff, faculty, and students seemed genuinely interested in us.

What impressed you negatively?

A whirlwind tour of the med school facilities, in my opinion, missed a lot of important and interesting areas.

What did you wish you had known ahead of time?

Despite (or perhaps because of?) their emphasis on patient care, Pitt is a spectacularly successful research institution.

What are your general comments?

Overall, the interviews were quite low-key and conversational. I suspect that genuine interaction is assessed more critically than the actual content of the interview.

What are your suggestions for the admissions office?
